Inbound

Gate to putaway — no paper, no manual entry

Every inbound step is scan-based and validated. Vehicle arrives, ASN is pre-loaded, operator scans on the HHT, GRN is created instantly and stock is available for putaway — all within minutes of physical receipt.

ASN management

Advance Shipping Notice received from ERP or third-party systems before the vehicle arrives. Warehouse is pre-loaded with expected SKUs, quantities, and batch details — no manual re-entry at the gate.

Gate entry & vehicle management

Digital gate-in with vehicle details, in-time, and dock assignment. Operations has advance notice of which vehicle is expected at which dock — eliminating the queue at the gate.

GRN from ASN

Scan SKUs on the Android HHT against the ASN. System validates quantities at each step — flagging shortages and excesses before the vehicle leaves. GRN is generated on the device and instantly reflected in the web application.

Blind GRN

For receipts without an ASN — full scanning-based inward without a prior reference document. System generates the GRN from physical scan and updates stock in real time.

Quality & inspection check

Configurable QC workflow per SKU or per customer. Material flagged for QC is held in a quarantine location — not available for putaway or picking until QC is cleared. Rejected material is recorded with reason code.

System-directed putaway

System suggests optimal putaway location based on configured rules — SKU affinity, zone logic, rack capacity, and velocity. Operator scans to confirm. Location is updated real-time. Auto put-away ticket generation for high-volume inward.

DEPS management

Discrepancy Evidence and Proof of Shortage — automatically generated when received quantity differs from ASN. Document captures photo proof and is auto-sent to the customer or shipper for resolution before billing.

Barcode & QR generation

System generates barcodes and QR codes at the pre-GRN stage — SKU-wise and GRN-wise. Mobile printer integration for label printing at the dock. Every carton and pallet is labelled before it moves to storage.

Inventory

Location-level accuracy, all pick logics

Every SKU tracked to a specific rack, shelf, and bin. Pick logic configured per SKU or customer — FIFO, FEFO, FMFO, LIFO, or Batch — applied automatically at pick time. No picker decides which carton to take.

Location-level stock accuracy

Every SKU is tracked to a specific rack, shelf, and bin. Stock is never "in the warehouse" — it is at a precise location. Operations can retrieve any item without a physical search.

All pick logics

FIFO, FEFO, FMFO, LIFO, and Batch/Lot-wise — configured per SKU or per customer. Perishables run FEFO automatically. Serialised goods run FIFO by serial number. No manual selection by the picker.

Batch, serial, and expiry tracking

Full attribute tracking per receipt — batch number, serial number, expiry date, MRP, and manufacturing date. Pharmaceutical and cosmetics customers get MRP-based warehouse execution with zero manual identification.

Multi-UOM with auto-conversion

SKUs handled in multiple units — cases, pieces, pallets, kilograms — with automatic conversion at each transaction. Decimal quantity support for weight-based and volume-based goods.

Cycle counts without shutdown

Location-wise and SKU-wise cycle counts run during live operations. System flags discrepancies between digital stock and physical count. Adjustments processed through maker-checker authorisation.

Stock adjustment & readjustment

Authorised adjustments with full audit trail. Every adjustment records the operator, approver, reason, and timestamp. Inventory ledger available for any date range for customer reporting and statutory audit.

Fast/slow moving classification

SKUs automatically classified by movement velocity. Fast-moving SKUs positioned in prime pick zones; slow-moving in remote storage. Location suggestions in putaway and replenishment follow velocity automatically.

Kitting and bundling

SKUs kitted and bundled at the warehouse level. Apparel assortments, gift sets, and promotional bundles managed as warehouse operations — not just on paper. Kitted output tracked as a separate SKU or shipped as component SKUs.

Outbound

Order to despatch — validated at every step

Orders arrive from ERP or e-commerce in minutes. System generates waves, assigns pick tickets, guides operators to the right location, validates packing, and generates all despatch documentation — before the vehicle moves.

Order upload & integration

Orders received from ERP, Shopify, or any system via API, EDI, or file upload. Orders are available in the WMS within minutes of being placed — no manual re-keying by warehouse staff.

Wave pick generation

System clusters orders into waves based on zone, ship date, carrier, or custom rule. Wave generation reduces picker travel and increases throughput on high-volume despatch days.

System-guided picking

Pick ticket assigned to operator on Android HHT. System directs to the right location in the optimal sequence. Operator scans to confirm each pick. Wrong picks are rejected at the device before the item leaves the location.

Pick & pack with validation

Packing validation at the packing station — system confirms every item against the order before the carton is sealed. Short-ships and wrong-item errors are caught before the vehicle is loaded, not at the customer.

Assortment & despatch management

Footwear and apparel operations use HU-wise assortment — size runs packed to customer specification. Despatch documentation generated automatically: packing lists, delivery challans, and e-way bill data.

Delivery & POD update

Delivery confirmation and POD captured on the mobile app or received from the logistics partner via integration. POD linked to the despatch record for billing reconciliation and customer proof.

Customer-wise instances

Each customer of the 3PL gets a separate data instance — separate stock, separate location management, separate transaction history. One physical warehouse, fully isolated logical operations per customer.

Multi-warehouse per customer

A single customer may be spread across multiple physical warehouse locations. The WMS manages each location separately while giving the customer a consolidated stock view across all their locations.

Contract definition

Customer-specific contracts with fixed rates and variable rate slabs. In-transportation, route-wise, and vehicle-type-wise contracts available. Billing is calculated automatically against the contract — no manual rate application.

Advanced billing

Billing by customer, tonnage, container number, plant, order number, or transportation. GST-compliant with SAC and HSN codes maintained for all services. Billing system invoices customers based on actual throughput.

Customer portal

Each customer accesses their own view — stock on hand, open orders, ageing, despatch history, and billing reports. No calls to the warehouse for a stock position. Customer self-serves from the portal.

SLA isolation

Each customer has separate SLA tracking — inbound TAT, put-away time, order despatch TAT, and exception rates. 3PL reports against each customer SLA independently, with data they can share with the customer directly.

Integration

TMS, ERP, and logistics partners — connected

WebXpress WMS is built to integrate. Orders flow in from ERP and e-commerce. Despatch data flows out to TMS for load planning. Tracking flows in from logistics partners. No batch jobs, no manual re-entry.

WMS + TMS data exchange

1
Inventory check
TMS requests stock availability before creating a shipment. WMS confirms — orders will not fail at despatch for out-of-stock.
2
Pick update to TMS
When pick is complete, WMS sends confirmed pick quantities to TMS. Load planning uses actual warehouse data, not order data.
3
Despatch note
WMS generates the despatch note with carton count, weight, and dimensions. TMS uses this for vehicle loading and LR generation.
4
Load planning
TMS creates shipments, assigns vehicles, and generates the trip sheet. The load list goes back to WMS for dock assignment.
5
Delivery & POD
Delivery status and POD from TMS flows back to WMS. Customer billing reconciliation is triggered automatically on confirmed delivery.

ERP integration

ASN received from SAP, Oracle, Tally, or any ERP via API, EDI-ANSI, EDIFACT, or Rosettanet
GRN confirmation sent back to ERP after putaway — two options: post-GRN or post-putaway
Orders received from ERP for outbound; despatch advice sent back on completion
FTP and direct CSV upload as fallback for non-API integrations

Logistics partner integration

WebXpress Visibility connected to 80+ logistics companies for shipment tracking post-despatch
LSP selection, booking, and tracking integrated into the same WMS workflow
Tracking status and POD images received from partners and linked to the WMS despatch record
Freight audit automation — LSP invoices reconciled against actual delivery performance

Mobile-first

Android HHT at every step

No middleware at the warehouse. The Android application talks directly to the cloud over 4G or Wi-Fi — no on-premise server, no maintenance, no downtime from a local machine failing.

All functions on mobile
GRN, putaway, pick update, pick & pack, stock transfer, and cycle count — every warehouse operation runs on the handheld. Desktop and tablet views available for supervisors and managers.
Offline mode
Operations continue when connectivity drops. Data is stored on the device and synced when connectivity is restored. Cold storage areas, basement locations, and RF-shadow zones all work without interruption.
Checkpoint-based for large picks
For high-volume pick operations — thousands of cartons — the system uses checkpoint-based completion so partial work is captured and not lost if the session is interrupted.
Cross-device responsive UI
Same application across HHT, tablet, and desktop browser. Supervisors manage waves and exceptions from a browser; operators scan on the HHT; customers view reports on any device.

Unique to WebXpress

WMS and TMS on one platform

Most WMS vendors stop at the warehouse door. WebXpress covers the warehouse and the transport network — inbound receiving, inventory management, outbound despatch, and the full transport execution and tracking cycle on the same data model.

Same platform as TMS

WMS and TMS share the same shipment and order data model. The despatch from WMS is the trip in TMS. No file transfer, no reconciliation — one system from putaway to delivery.

15+ WMS deployments

The WebXpress WMS team has deployed across India, UAE, and KSA — across 3PL operators, manufacturers, and retailers. Implementation is run by the product team, not a partner who has never seen the full system.

India-first design

Built for India's ground-level realities — mixed fleets, variable network quality, GST compliance, e-way bills, and the mix of manual and automated warehouse environments that most global WMS products do not accommodate.

No on-premise infrastructure

Cloud-native on Microsoft Azure. No server at the warehouse. No IT team required to maintain local infrastructure. Updates deploy centrally. Warehouses across India, UAE, and KSA on the same platform.

Configurable, not custom-coded

Pick logics, putaway rules, billing structures, SLA definitions, and customer contracts are all configured — not custom-coded. New customer onboarding is days, not months.

6-week standard go-live

Standard deployment: requirements in week 1, configuration in weeks 2–3, deployment in week 4, pilot in week 5, go-live in week 6. SLA-backed support from day one — critical issues resolved within 4 hours.
