Two end-to-end flows on one platform
WebXpress TMS supports both Full-Truck-Load (FTL) operations — the bulk transportation backbone of FMCG, manufacturing, and contract logistics — and Less-Than-Truck-Load (LTL) / Express operations — the courier and parcel networks. They run on the same platform, sharing rates, vehicles, and customer data.
For shippers, 3PLs, and FTL transporters
The FTL flow is the workhorse for FMCG distribution, manufacturing dispatches, and contract logistics. Where one indent moves on one truck, with a defined lane, vendor, rate, and SLA. WebXpress orchestrates the six steps below — with auction sourcing or contract sourcing, mobile-driven dispatch, real-time GPS, and SAP-grade settlement.
Indent intake
Indents arrive from customers (email, EDI, portal, API) or generate from production schedules. The TMS captures lane, load size, vehicle type, pickup window, and SLA.
Vendor sourcing
Choose between contract rates (auto-applied) and freight auction (real-time bidding). Lane-wise vendor qualification ensures only approved transporters bid. The Patanjali Parivahan auction engine has scaled to 15,000+ qualified vendors.
Vehicle placement
Confirmed vehicle assigned to indent. Driver and vehicle details captured, advance amount released, e-way bill generated. Auto Vehicle Placement Agent can run this loop without human intervention.
Dispatch & in-transit
Loading, documentation, and gate-out. GPS tracking begins. Predictive ETA model reads traffic, weather, and historical lane data. AI Voice Agent can call drivers on excess stoppage or geo-fence breach.
Delivery & POD
Mobile app captures POD photo, signature, stamp, and timestamp. POD Audit Agent runs nine tag checks and routes to one of five buckets. Approved PODs flow straight to billing.
Settlement & SAP posting
Auto-billing against contract or auction-cleared rate. Supplementary, deductions, GST handled. SAP FI/MM/SD integration posts vendor payments and customer invoices in real time. DTDC and Patanjali run this loop into SAP today.
For express, courier, and parcel networks
The LTL flow handles the high-volume, low-weight reality of express cargo and last-mile delivery. Many small consignments aggregate through hubs, line-haul to destination, and deliver out to thousands of consignees daily. Live at FedEx Express MEISA across 5+ countries and DTDC Express across India.
Booking & consignment
Express bookings come in from branches, customer portals, retail counters, or API. Consignment Notes (CNs) are generated with shipper, consignee, weight, dimensions, and freight calculation per contract.
Hub-and-spoke routing
Each CN is routed through the express network: pickup branch → origin hub → transhipment hubs → destination hub → delivery branch. Route plans auto-update as the network changes.
Manifest & line-haul
Consignments grouped into manifests for line-haul vehicles. Vehicle dispatch, loading sheet, way-bill, and GPS tracking. Supports own fleet and market vehicles with rate engines for both.
Hub operations
Inbound, sortation, scanning, and outbound at every hub. Mobile and barcode-driven. Real-time count reconciliation prevents shipment loss.
Last-mile delivery
Delivery branch assigns to delivery rider or partner. Mobile app supports route, ePOD, COD collection, and exception capture. Dynamic re-routing if delivery fails.
Billing, COD, and partner settlement
Customer invoicing per rate contract. COD reconciliation. Partner payouts. SAP FI/SD integration for express operators (DTDC pattern).
Freight Auction & Vendor Procurement
Automated digital auction across qualified vendors — with lane-wise eligibility, real-time rate comparison, and direct SAP posting. The Patanjali Parivahan deployment is the reference.
Patanjali Parivahan operates one of India’s largest FMCG distribution networks, placing 300+ vehicles every day from remote plant locations. The original challenge was a vendor base of just 500 transporters and a manual procurement cycle of 20 hours per placement. WebXpress replaced that with a real-time digital auction engine integrated with SAP MM and FI.
The auction now handles 35% of all placements (up from 5%), with the system automatically pushing orders to qualified vendors per lane, comparing bids, and awarding to the lowest qualified rate. Vendor base scaled to 15,000+ digitally onboarded transporters; freight cost reductions of 8–12% are sustained across routes.
