Everyone Is Selling AI Agents. Here Is The Truth.

Every logistics or logistics tech company I know needs a superhuman. Someone who's awake before the office is, has already read the overnight mess — stuck shipments, vehicle lock not opening, an escalation mail nobody read — and has the brief ready for decision makers before anyone asks for it.

As a tech company, we already have one. Her name is Mira. And no — we did not hire her.

Mira is an AI agent — a software program that has access to multiple systems, an AI engine to read mails, API connections to check customer Jira tickets and Teams chats. Mira then uses intelligence built into AI tools such as Claude to make sense of all such collected information, draft a summary and mark key action areas. She then sends mails to respective teams — Developers, Project Manager and Management team — with precise things they need to focus on.

Thus — Mira saves 50 man-hours of e-mail reading, 30 man-hours of stand-up meetings, 20 man-hours of customer calls. That is 100 man-hours of follow up effort. Everyday. At 5:30 am.

NOBODY HIRED ANYBODY HERE

Let's get the uncomfortable bit out of the way, because half of LinkedIn is currently posting photos of their "new AI team member" like it's onboarding day. We are not doing that.

An AI agent is not a colleague, not a superhuman helper, and not a person wearing a software costume. It's a name for one fixed chain of steps across multiple tools — Jira, Outlook, TMS, WMS, GPS feed, billing system — to close a task. AI Agent does in minutes what used to take two or three people multiple hours or days coordinating manually (and missing most of the time).

We give them names for one reason only: it should be as easy to ask "what did Mira find this week" as it is to ask about any other report — and get one specific, bounded answer back.

THE THREE AGENTS THAT RUN INSIDE WEBXPRESS

We didn't start with the AI agents we sell. We started with the ones running WebXpress itself — because if the method doesn't survive contact with our own operations, why would we sell it to yours?

Mira — Delivery Operations Agent. Links Jira, Outlook/Teams, and Twilio. Sends the 05:30 brief, runs the weekly PM scorecard, chases Jira ETAs the moment a spec goes live, and clears the routine half of the ops inbox before a human touches it.

Sharon — Marketing Agent. Runs the whole loop: brief in, AI draft out, my approval in between, Brevo send, stats back, and the weekly digest in my inbox on Monday. (You're reading proof of her work right now — this campaign went through her loop too.)

Sara — Enterprise Business Development Agent. Works enterprise deals end to end: finds whitespace inside 50-plus existing accounts, sends the first information mail, qualifies a new lead, answers whoever wrote in from wherever they wrote in from. Half consulting, half sales — she has to understand the domain well enough not to oversell.

TWO AGENTS THAT WORK FOR YOU — OUR CUSTOMER

Baldev is the one you may already know. GPS and telematics feed into a Severity Index; the moment a vehicle overspeeds, drives at night, or free-runs in neutral, Baldev calls the driver — in his own language, Hindi included — inside five minutes. Not a dashboard alert some hub manager notices Monday morning. A phone ringing while the unsafe kilometre is still being driven.

Priya is newer, and not live yet — launching October. She sits between the cost master (what the shipment should have cost, on paper), the shipment data, the transporter's rate contract, and the invoice that just landed, and she tells you where they disagree, with the reason attached. Billing errors, weight discrepancies, rate mismatches — the leaks nobody notices until the quarter closes. Baldev calls the driver about the road. Priya calls out the invoice. Different chain, same idea.

At WebXpress, this is the same discipline we ask of every metric on our site — no invented numbers, no stock photo pretending to be a person, no claim bigger than what the chain of tools actually does. Personifying software is a bit of theatre either way. Most companies do the theatre and hope you don't ask what's backstage. We'd rather show you backstage.
